DX services now available on MetaPack

MetaPack customers can now take advantage of secure delivery services offered by DX Group - the UK’s largest independent logistics network operator - which prides itself on its industry leading levels of service and innovation.

DX,which handles more than one million letters, packets and parcels every day, is offering its DX2Home tracked courier service and its Secure Mandatory Signature service via MetaPack.

DX2Home is a unique, tracked courier service that is designed to deliver low value goods first time, with proof of receipt. Itis the UK’s only 100 per cent tracked service for low value items that includes photographs of the delivery address, as well as the safe place in which the item was left if the recipient or a neighbour could not sign for it.

In addition to the GPS co-ordinates automatically recorded by a handheld device the courier notes three identifying factors about the delivery address, such as the number on the door and the colour of the door. They also leave a calling card explaining where the parcel has been left if a signature has not been obtained from the intended recipient.

The service offers 24 hour and 48 hour delivery options with a pre-1pm option for each.

Provided the DX customer is in agreement, DX2Home gives recipients a choice of delivery location, which could include their workplace, a neighbour’s address, or a safe place outside their home, such as a coal bunker.

Other advantages include the fact that the service is easy to use for returns, which can be collected and tracked from the delivery address.

DX2Home has a first time delivery success rate of 99.7 per cent, saving money on redelivery and customer service costs as well as offering improved customer satisfaction.

DX Secure service is a competitively priced solution offering variable levels of insurance that are tailored to the number of items in transit. It has two next-day delivery options - pre-9am and pre-1pm - and a 48 hour option.

It will capture a signature at the point of delivery and provide a 100 per cent audit trail, where required. It will also accept changes to delivery addresses for next day delivery.

DX Secure gives real-time management information and enables customers to track the progress of their delivery online. It also provides a high level of account management support.
